Teen Care & Wellness Program
Wishard Health Services offers the Teen Care & Wellness Program to meet the distinct and diverse needs of teens for comprehensive health services – from treating emergencies and chronic illnesses to maintaining good health. Our doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and social worker all have special experience in working with teens and provide complete care for everyday concerns and needs.
Teen Care Services:
- Complete medical services, including care for acne, sports-related injuries and illnesses (e.g. colds, asthma, allergies and headaches)
- Physicals for school, sports and employment and yearly check-ups
- Screening and treatment for mental health issues such as depression and anxiety
- Immunizations
- Dental and vision screening
- Help to stop smoking
- Support and community resources for sexual minority youth (GLBT)
- Testing, treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted infections
- PAP tests
- Help with menstrual issues and birth control methods, including pills, patch and Depo Provera
- Pregnancy testing
- Prenatal and infant care
- Pediatric/well-baby care for infants and children
