IU Center for Senior Health at Wishard
No two people age alike. Understanding a patient’s health means understanding his/her unique situation. The IU Center for Senior Health at Wishard helps older adults and their families cope with the medical, social and emotional issues of aging such as functional decline, polypharmacy (the use of multiple medications), memory complaints and depression.
Following a complete health evaluation and physical examination, the team of health care professionals at the IU Center for Senior Health develops a plan of care with the patient’s particular needs in mind. Recommendations are reviewed with the patient and his/her family, and a copy of the plan is given to his/her primary care physician. The IU Center for Senior Health team will continue to work alongside the patient’s primary care physician to help manage any other issues that may arise.
Primary care also is available to patients needing help with two or more basic activities, such as bathing or dressing.
