Patients are not seen in the order they arrived. They are first seen by the seriousness of their illness or injury and then by the order in which they arrive. Patients are evaluated by a specially-trained triage nurse who determines how severe each person’s illness or injury is. Wait times depend on many things so it is difficult to provide an estimated time.
