The Midtown Crossing Clubhouse Program is operated and directed by all Midtown Community Mental Health Center clients and staff working together to achieve its vision.
Since it began serving consumers in 2004, the Clubhouse has continued to see phenomenal growth. The Clubhouse program serves all consumers within the Midtown system and operates six days a week. Programs on weekends, evenings and holidays offer socialization and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment. Approximately 10 to 30 people use the Clubhouse regularly for various activities.
To promote continued independence and individual strengths of clients, the Clubhouse relies completely on volunteers. The volunteer program includes operation and financial management of the snack bar, kitchen, and thrift shop; maintaining the monthly Clubhouse newsletter; organizing regular activities with the community focused on normalization such as camping, hikes, and other outdoor activities; and all other tasks necessary in the operation of the clubhouse program.
