Family Beginnings

The Family Beginnings program at Wishard provides our maternity patients with newly decorated, state-of-the-art labor/delivery/recovery and postpartum rooms, designed to provide a beautiful, homelike atmosphere. Birth plans for expectant women are available and encouraged, allowing them choices for medication options, birth positions, those present during the birth, and breast feeding. Other services available to new mothers and babies include lactation consultants, newborn hearing screening and immunizations.
