The Drop-in Program is a valuable component of recovery and rehabilitation in mental health treatment. The drop-in program serves all consumers within the Midtown system and operates six days a week. Clients participate in the leisure aspect of the drop-in program in order to develop social recognition, overcome stigma, and meet individual needs not met elsewhere. To help clients achieve goals and succeed independently in the community, the drop-in offers more than 50 classes weekly. Approximately 30 - 50 clients use the drop-in on a daily basis.
The skills and confidence learned through the drop-in program better prepare clients for advancement into other Midtown program that focus on the development of employment opportunities, education, and independent living within the community.
